    Product Description

    Polysorbate-80 (Tween 80) is a surfactant and emulsifier used in cleaners and personal care products.Emulsifying agent consisting of sorbitol, ethylene oxide, & oleic acid (polyoxyethylene-80 sorbitan monooleate), oleic acid is derived from vegetable oil. Purity > 98.5-99%. Saponification value: 43-55.HLB value 14-16 (gives oil-in-water emulsions).
    It can be used with the Span series to formulate stable oil-in-water emulsions and can be used as a solubilizer and mild nonionic surfactant.

    Use

     Can be added to formulas as is. Recommended dosage: 0.5-5%. For external use only.
    Polysorbates are a class of non-ionic surfactants. Common products are mainly distinguished by fatty acid chain length and the number of ethylene oxide additions. The most common are Polysorbate 20, 40, 60, and 80.
